Weekend Care
For the Unexpected
Weekend Care
Weekend Care will give you the same attention that your primary care provider gives when their office is closed.
We understand that you cannot plan when you will need to receive medical attention. Injuries, illnesses and infections can occur any day of the week. When the condition isn’t life-threatening, going to the Emergency Room is not always necessary.
Common Conditions Seen in Weekend Care:
- Small Cuts that may Require Stitches
- Breathing Difficulties (Mild-Moderate Asthma)
- Eye Irritation and Redness
- Severe Sore Throat or Cough
- Skin Rashes or Moderate Skin Infections
- Urinary Tract Infections
- Vomiting or Diarrhea
- Dehydration
- Strains or Sprains
- Minor Fractures in Fingers or Toes
When to Go to the Emergency Room Over Weekend Care:
- Compound Fractures (Fragment of Bone Breaking through the Skin)
- Seizures, Convulsions, or Loss of Consciousness
- Fever in Infants Under 3 Months
- Uncontrollable Bleeding
- Moderate to Severe Burns
- Poisoning
- Issues During Pregnancy
- Severe Injury to Head, Neck or Back
- Chest Pain
- Stroke Symptoms (Vision Loss, Numbness, Weakness, Slurred Speech, Confusion)
- Serious Wounds (Gun Shot, Stabbing)
- Suicidal Feelings
Emergency Rooms are meant for true emergencies. If you are experiencing a life-threatening problem, call 911 or go to the emergency room. If you would normally go to your primary health provider for the condition you are experiencing, come to a Weekend Clinic. We will give you the medical attention you need when your doctor’s office is closed.
